This week's blurb is once again taken from Love In The Time Of Witches. The last few posts have been from the Traveler's POV, so this week I'm giving you a little teaser from Taylor's POV.
Just like Traveler, Taylor has gone back in time. Unlike Traveler, she doesn't know where she is, and is very much afraid. She's been wandering around the woods, alone, in the middle of the night. Yeah...not fun.
I stepped forward ready to track down the distant voice when something sharp speared the ball of my foot. I pitched forward, clutching my injured extremity and swore like a sailor. Off kilter, I crash-landed into a gaggle of ferns and various shrubbery. “Mother freaking piss! Ouch!”
Yes, yes…I was more than aware that rocking back and forth while howling in pain did nothing to improve my situation. At that point, I didn’t care. Whimpering felt natural, so I let go and had myself a good cry.
Make sure to stop by and check out the other Six Sentence Sunday offerings here.
Have a great week!
