Summer Scorcher Blog Tour week 4- Things that make you go "Ooooh!"

My erotic suspense, Obsessed, released March 29th of this year with Loose Id. It’s a fast-paced story filled with romance, suspense and a heavy dose of shemxin’ (hubba hubba!) It’s by far the hottest story I’ve penned, and I’m absolutely in love with the hero and heroine, Nick and Halley. Because of the spicy nature of the story, I thought it would be fun to talk about things that turn us on. Woohoo! You know what I’m talking about. Those certain traits, qualities in a person that rev your engine and send your girlie bits a tingling…fans self…  And let’s not forget two powerful aphrodisiacs:  music and food. Both are often used to set the mood in intimate situations.

Halley, the female lead in Obsessed has a thing for tattoos (tribal tattoos) if I want to be specific. The moment she notices Nick’s ink peeking out from beneath his shirt, it’s all over for her. Yes, his muscular physique and bad-boy demeanor are what initially pulled her in, but it was the swirling ink decorating his torso and arm that sealed the deal.

I see inked heroes more and more these days. What exactly is it about them that draws us in? For me, there’s almost something taboo about tattoos.  Growing up, I’d always thought of them as “forbidden”, much like the bad boys I’d admire from afar, but never dared to bring home. It’s exactly that “off-limits” quality I look for in my heroes. I like a leading man who’s a bit rough around the edges, who doesn’t conform. Nine times out of ten, my favorite hero has a past he’s trying to forget or an obstacle he’s trying to overcome. He wears his ink like armor, and for me, there’s nothing sexier. What about you? Do you like a hero with tattoos?

Leave a comment on this blog, as well as the other five blogs on the Scorcher Tour to be entered to win a free PDF copy of my erotic suspense, Obsessed. The winner’s name will then be forwarded into a final drawing at the end of the tour for a chance to win a $30 Amazon gift certificate.
(Book blurb) The victim of both a brutal attempted rape and now a serial stalking, Halley Davis is broken, and desperate to glue the shattered pieces of her life back together. Tormented by a psychopath and battling a heavy dose of anxiety, sex and dating are the last things on Halley’s anxiety-ridden mind. That is, until she meets the man who rescued her from the hands of a would-be rapist. With a body made for sin, a wicked, sexy tattoo and an aura that screams “badass,” her rescuer not only calms the storm of terror raging inside her mind, he ignites a passion within her she’s never known before.
Tired of using meaningless sex to drown out the horrors of his past, Nick Ackart has sworn off women. In fact, if women were classified as meat, his ass is Vegan. Despite his determination to remain unattached, Nick is unable to stay away from the emerald-eyed beauty he rescued from a sadistic pervert. Immersed in a tangled web of sexual desire and deep emotion he was certain was long dead, he vows to protect Halley from the monster hounding her, even though he stands to lose his heart in the process.

Hi Lisa, I don't know if growing up in conservative Cincinnati had anything to do with it, but I'm not a big fan of tattoos myself. I know I'm in the minority here! What DOES turn me on is intelligence, a teasing sense of humor, a dark complexion, and blue eyes. Oo la la.

Thanks for stopping by, Krystal! Good luck!

@Jenn- I agree with you on all of those traits, especially the sense of humor and blue eyes. RAWR!!!!!!

I have become enamored with tattoos as of late, but on girls too, so I'm not sure it's a shmexy thing for me, more of an art thing. But a guy who's already sexy w/ a well-done, and well-placed tattoo...bring it.

Oh, one really bad one I saw on the inside of a book cover though was Fabio-looking vampire with a BAT tattoo! Not good.

Thanks for slapping the hop up!

Nicki- Lol! Fabio is so gross! Not sexy at all IMO. You're welcome!!!

Yup. This story sounds great. I, too, have a thing for tats. I think it enhances the bad-boy thing and can make a good looking man a walking sex god.

I always wanted ink myself and didn't get my first one until I was 30. I have a few now; they're small but not hidden. I love them and can't wait to get more!

Tattoos are indeed a plus for me. It makes the guy more manly. I found the story very interesting. said...

The tattoos are a pretty addition to his well chiseled body. Lisa Sanchez's Obsessed looks like a good book worth reading. I would love to have the PDF version.
