Wife By Wednesday tour with Catherine Bybee

Hey, everyone! Please join me in welcoming author Catherine Bybee to the blog today. She's graciously agreed to answer some interview questions regarding her latest release, Wife By Wednesday.

Thanks for having me here today, Lisa.

1. Congratulations on your latest release, Wife By Wednesday. Can you tell us a little bit about the book?

Wickedly handsome, rich businessman needs a wife… and he needs her now. Wife by Wednesday is a slice of contemporary fantasy that every woman who loved Cinderella will enjoy. Sam, my heroine, isn't a step child with a nasty mama, but a business minded woman will a huge nut to crack every month financially. When Blake enters her life he offers her a bank account to set her up for life. How can she refuse?

2. You’ve already made a name for yourself in the paranormal genre. Was it difficult to make the switch over to contemporary? Which is easier?

When I'm writing a time travel half of the book is contemporary. Granted, there are paranormal elements in my time travels, but I do have modern women and men in my paranormals so making the switch to a straight contemporary was easy. It's actually easier for me to write contemporary because I don't have to make up the basics of a world or race of people. On the other hand, I can't fall back on turning someone furry or making them read minds to keep the plot interesting. Each style of book has its own set of problems.

3. Which character do you relate to the most and why?

Sam. I can relate to not having enough money and a ton of responsibilities than I can having a loaded bank account and responsibilities.

4. Did you have a character or scene that you struggled with?

Not in this book. Everything flowed well for me as a writer.

5. If you were able to go to dinner with one of your characters, who would you take with you, and why?

I think I'd go out with Blake, if for no other reason then to drool over him. LOL

6. Do you have any writing quirks?

Other than my desk being a complete mess, no.

7. Favorite author?

This changes all the time. I do like Lisa Kleypas, Nora Roberts and a slew of others.

8. Favorite book?

Again, this changes. I loved Shawna by Kathleen Woodwiss.

9. What are three things your readers don’t know about you?

Not. Very. Much. I'm rather open online. But let me see if I can add something.

I sing in the shower.

I was a Cub Scout master for seven years.

I bowl on a league. I suck at it, but I do bowl.

10. What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

Alligator this last summer. Tasted like chicken BTW.

11. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Went into the attic in our haunted house in Seattle when I was a kid. *shiver*

12. If Wife By Wednesday were made into a film, what actors/actresses would you like to see cast?

Julia Roberts ( you'll see why when you read this book) and - Hugh Jackman.

A Contemporary Romance with a dash of humor and a whole lotta sexy…

Owner of Alliance , her matchmaking firm, and not on the marital menu... That is until Blake offers her ten million dollars for a one-year contract.
